Workshops

I teach the occasional workshop on my atmospheric representational style in oil. If you are interested in taking part in a class or a workshop please contact me. While I currently have no classes scheduled for this year I plan on announcing some for later in 2026 and will keep a list of those who are interested.

"Birch Trees in the Snow"


Supply List:

Acrylic or Oil paint: 

  • Titanium White
  • Prussian blue
  • Payne’s Grey
  • Burnt umber
  • Raw umber
  • Any other colors you may have

I will be working and demoing in Acrylic - but Oils with a drying medium are welcome.

Brushes:

  • One medium Flat or Bright brush, like#6 
  • Two Large Flat brushes for blending the background 
  • Several small round brushes, #4 -#0
  • Plus any other brushes you might have. 

Other: 

  • Water pot
  • A 24x24-inch or larger canvas
  • For oil painters: Odorless mineral spirits, and drying medium
  • Palette to mix paints on (could be a paper palette pad, a traditional palette or whatever you prefer)
  • Notebook and pens for note-taking 
  • Rags or paper towel (I like the blue shop towels!) 
  • A table easel or whatever you have
  • Something to bring your wet paintings home in (cardboard box, etc.)
